Amy grew up dreaming of a life on the stage, having written and performed in countless productions all through school. Instead, she found herself with an English degree and a teaching career, followed by a husband, three children and a move to Bristol. Amy has worked as an independent bookseller, specialising in children’s literature, before returning to school as a SEND Teaching Assistant. She runs a weekly book club and was very happy to get her hands on the school library, appointing herself School Librarian (if only for the shiny yellow badge).

When she is not writing or reading, Amy can be found playing board games, swimming in her local quarry lake, or crocheting herself cardigans with various degrees of success.
