Axel was born and raised in Barcelona, where, from a young age, he developed a passion for creating silly stories and drawing wacky big-eyed cartoons. Life is seldom a straight line, though, and before becoming a writer and illustrator, Axel studied management, moved to Hong Kong first, and then to California, and started and built several businesses along the way. Today Axel has come full circle and is back in sunny Barcelona doing what he loves the most.
